Orthopaedic Research and Recent Publications
Research
Orthopaedic research is an integral part of the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS). As a sports medicine and shoulder specialist with HSS at New York Presbyterian-Cornell, Dr. Kew is involved in clinical research across many areas. Her early work focused on identifying risk factors for complications after shoulder and knee surgery and optimizing patient outcomes. She continues this work and has expanded her research to include improving safe return to sport after surgery and identifying factors that can improve individualized patient care. She has authored many peer-reviewed research publications and book chapters across a variety of topics in orthopaedic surgery and has presented her research nationally and internationally.
